I just buy this 80gig Sony Playstation 3 console couple a days ago. I think it is great and excellent. The image and sound is absolutely perfect. Also when I connected with HDMI cable into my HDTV, the HD pictures is awesome. I love this console. The blu-ray disc is also working nice. I am extremely satisfied. I'm enjoying games with this 80gig Sony Playstation 3 console with my family.

I have had my Sony Playstation 3 console since it first came out and love it. The PS3 gets constant firmware updates automatically via the internet and always works well with the latest blu ray movies. Mine is still working since the day I bought it with no problems!!!
You can surf the internet, watch dvds, blu-rays, plays music cds, mp3s, (even off the hard drive), divx files, camera pictures, you name it, it plays it, all for below $400. This is a steal. The Sony Playstation 3 has one of the best audio outputs as a Blu Ray player.
Don't pass up on the Sony Playstation 3 console this holiday, there are too many great games, and too many great Blu ray movies coming out that you need to view on your HD TV!!! Once you do Blu, you don't go back!!!!
I maybe shouldn't have written this review because I probably won't tell you anything you can't read above but I just got my Sony Playstation 3 a few days ago and I am so happy I feel, like Ron Burgundy, like shouting my love from the top of a mountain.
I was never big on video games except for Grand Theft Auto; Bioshock; and a handful of others and I can't tell you how the Sony Playstation 3 console compares to other video game consoles (but I think all will agree that video games on this system look best by far). All I can say is that GTA and CoD and every other game I've tried on this system looks awesome and is tremendously fun. The blu-rays look amazing, the blu-ray's upward conversion makes your old dvd movies look fantastic and if you upgrade the Sony Playstation 3 to 320 or 500 GB (as I did), it's pretty much a fully functioning computer also (web browsing could be more user-friendly, but playing movies, music, games, and storing photos are mostly what people will be using this thing for).
So... computer, blu-ray player, cd player, video game console for $400 (plus your upgrades which I probably spent another $100 with $80 going to the hard drive upgrade). The Sony Playstation 3 console is basically the greatest thing ever made (along with the iPod and Kindle). Just add TV.
One word of advice: Make sure you purchse the 5400 rpm hard drives if you upgrade (and you'll likely want to).
First off, you should all know that the moment you take it out of the box, it will need some updates. That is the only con. After that the Sony Playstation 3 is completely solid and will never let you down. Blu-ray is perfect and it upconverts your dvd to 1080p.
Video games look amazing, but you will find that it is easy to fill up the 80g, but Sony knows this and that is why you're able to upgrade the hardrive with any off the shelf 2.5" laptop harddrive. And it is so easy to upgrade. It's as simple as removing 2 screws. The processor is 3.2ghz of extreme gaming. Built from the ground up directly for gaming.
Playstation Home is also wonderful for news & weather locally and all across the world. You will not be disappointed with the Sony Playstation 3 console.
